Joe Satriani Collaboration Charity Art Guitar

Originally a 2001 Ibanez JS-1000 body and a 1998 Hoshino Anniversary Model JS neck with ebony board refinished and painted by Bonvillain Design Studio and the legendary Joe Satriani.

In order to ensure all funds go to the charity and that the winner gets full tax credit for their donation – the auction winner will donate directly to Benioff Children’s Hospital San Francisco. Once the donation is complete – send us a notification, we will validate the donation and send off the guitar with full insurance via UPS shipping.

Basic overview of how it will work:

• Once the auction starts a field to place a bid will be available. You will need to create an account to bid.
• Bid on the auction as you would normally on eBay or elsewhere –
  • You can ‘proxy bid’ – as in bid your total amount and it will automatically increment your bid as others bid up to the amount you define.
  • There is an ‘anti-snipe’ function that prevents last second jumping in to try and win. Any bid put in with under 5min left in the auction will extend the time by another 2min.
• If you win the auction, you will get an automatic notification and we will confirm on our end as well. Once confirmed – go to the donation page for Benioff Children’s Hospital San Francisco
  • Select ‘One-Time Gift’ and the amount of the winning bid in the ‘Donation Amount’ field
  • Select UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital San Francisco under ‘I want my funds to support’
  • Enter your information as the donor (ideally the same information that created the account/won the auction to make it easy to cross-reference) and make the donation.
  • The UCSF Foundation will give you a donation receipt that accounts for the amount bid over $1000 (the base value determined for the guitar for tax purposes).
• Send us an email with the confirmation of your donation and we will confirm with the CFO at the UCSF Foundation and ship the guitar out fully insured!
